Food Place 25 @ East Coast Road, Singapore

Over the next few days, I shall be sharing some good eateries in Singapore. To start off, I was told to visit this restaurant called Food Place 25 which is located along East Coast Road that is famous for their Lala White Mee Hoon. With the help of Google Maps, we managed to reach here without any difficulty.

Simple And Clean

The Stall To Look Out For

This is more like a food court except that it does not have too many stalls. There are around seven or eight stall, most of them open for lunch and close by around 9 pm. This is the only stall that stays open till 10.30 pm. Parking can be a challenge here if you come early but there are valet parking services from the Wine House next door and it makes sense just to use their services. 

They have a handful of dishes on their menu but since that particular dish came highly recommended, I shall be sticking with that only. One problem here is that the person taking the orders only speaks Mandarin and so communication may not be very smooth for those who can't speak the language. Here you're needed to pay at the time of order and once the dish is ready, it would be sent over to your table.

Lala White Mee Hoon (Small) @ SGD 8.00

Comes with lots of clams and seafood

The wait was not too long and we got our food in less that fifteen minutes. I went for the small portion and it was priced at SGD 8.00 . Portion was good and it was more than sufficient for me. The noodles were served in a light sour broth and it came with lots of clams, prawns and squid. For me, it found it to be really good and it's a flavour that I have not tasted in Malaysia. Over here, the preparation is entirely different. If I were to rate this, my rating shall be 9/10. 

Super Spicy Chilli Paste

With the noodles, the above Chilli Paste was served and a small portion is more than enough to boost the spiciness as it was very spicy. This potent preparation deserves nothing less than a 9/10 as well. 

For some good Lala White Mee Hoon in Singapore, I would recommend visiting Food Place 25 that is located along East Coast Road. The preparation is very unique, comes in a light sour broth and served with lot's of seafood. Very unique flavours that is different to the preparation in Malaysia. Highly recommended.
