Kiraku Japanese Restaurant @ Cyberjaya, Selangor

Kiraku Japanese Restaurant is a restaurant that needs no introduction among the Japanese expatriate community in Malaysia. It is one of those Japanese Fine Dining restaurants with Japanese specialty chefs brought in from Japan and also boasts to have the largest dining hall in Malaysia. No other Japanese restaurant in Malaysia has a dining hall that is this large and they also have a large number of private dining rooms as well. This latter fact is one that is much sought after by the Japanese community and that has contributed to the growth of this restaurant.

Beautiful Dining Halls

Professional Service
As mentioned earlier, being an authentic Japanese restaurant with specialty Japanese chefs flown in from Japan, one can expect nothing but the highest standards here. The dining halls were immaculate and the service was speedy. Do note that this restaurant is Pork Free and hence there are quite a number of Muslim patrons who visit here too.

Cool Towel

Pickled Nutmeg

Iced Green Tea @ RM 1.90
The moment you take your seat, you are swiftly attended to by the waiters. In fact, right from the entrance, one of the staffs would usher you to your table and that is swiftly taken over by the waiters who would hand you the menu, serve the cutlery, your drink of choice, a cool towel to freshen up and some pickled nutmeg to munch. I have never come across this level of professionalism in any other Japanese restaurants in Malaysia. I've dined in more than 50 Japanese restaurants and this was truly a class of it's own. The pickled nutmeg was awesome. Each bite was rejuvenating and had an instant relief from the day's tiredness. That was just amazing and I would rate it at 10/10. The Iced Green Tea is priced at RM 1.90 and that includes free flow of the same. Very reasonable prices. They had a great variety of dishes and their menu consists of almost 20 pages.  And for those who are looking for quality air flown fish cuts and 5 Star quality Sushi's, this is the place but along with that, be prepared to pay the price. Once I had finalised what I wanted to have, the captain then attends to you and registers the orders. Such precise work flow at every level. Thumbs up to these guys!

Miso Soup @ RM 5.00

Chawan Mushi @ RM 9.00
Their Miso Soup was excellent and so was their Chawan Mushi. The Miso Soup had a very authentic taste to it, one that you can only get in these kind of Japanese Restaurants. The blend was so unique and smooth. I would rate this 9/10. Their Chawan Mushi was a class of it's own. It was hand crafted to perfection, came with lots of seafood including oysters and the egg was melt in your mouth kind. Seriously, one that was heavenly! 10/10 is what this Chawan Mushi deserves.

Tori Chahan @ RM 10.00

Mabo Tofu @ RM 15.00
Tori Chahan is Japanese Style Fried Rice with Chicken. This preparation was very unique and was so different to the Chinese version. The flavours were amazing, came with lot's of chicken and it was one to savour. Their Mabo Tofu was also good but I would prefer the Szechuan version of this dish. Nevertheless, still a good one. I would rate their Fried Rice at 10/10 and the Mabo Tofu at 8/10.

Saba Shioyaki @ RM 15.00

Tori Teba Gyoza @ RM 14.00
Saba Shioyaki or Grilled Mackerel is one of my all time favourites and I loved the preparation here. For RM 15.00 , it was such a huge piece and totally worth it. The fish was crispy on the outside and the juices were all intact despite the grilling. With each bite, you'd experience all the juices oozing in and that was such a pleasant experience. Tori Teba Gyoza which is Grilled Chicken Wings Japanese Style was another one that was pleasantly unique. Very different in taste to the ones that we commonly get and it was just excellent. I would rate their Saba Shioyaki at 10/10 and the same goes to their Tori Teba Gyoza.

Bill For The Day
If you're looking for authentic Japanese food prepared by highly skilled Japanese Chef's, then Kiraku is the place. Each dish that I tried this evening was a class of it's own. Five Star services and excellent ambiance. No wonder this is one of the most sought after Japanese restaurants by the expatriate Japanese community in Malaysia. A must visit place if you're into Japanese food.
