Putrajaya Sate @ Seri Kembangan, Selangor

Kajang is a town that is famous for a number of dishes and Satay is one of them. If one takes a drive through Kajang town, you'd probably stumble upon at least 50 different satay places and each has it's own following. Usually when this happens, the spillover effect tends to fill into the neighbouring towns as well and this is one such place. Putrajaya Sate as they call themselves is a restaurant that is located in Seri Kembangan, Selangor. A place that is easily accessible through the SKVE as it is located beside the famous Shell Station that has an AES Camera installed not too far from it.

Chicken Sate @ RM 1.00 each

This restaurant is open from 5 pm to midnight daily and is easily visible from the SKVE. It seems to have it's own loyal customers as I did see a number of positive reviews on the internet. Similarly, you would also come across some who were not too happy with the satay as well. I for one would love to try anything once and having heard quite a lot about this place, I decided to drop by this evening. The restaurant is a very simple set up, it seemed more like a family venture with members of the family playing their part. Satay is priced at RM 1.00 each and the wait is slightly long as there is only one person who's attending to all these orders. 

A Mix Of Meat And Fat

Peanut Dip With Chili

For RM 1.00 , I felt that the Satay was rather small and even more surprising was the blend of meat and fat. Each skewer came with 70% fat and 30% meat which wasn't to my liking. Their Peanut Sauce seemed quite similar to Haji Samuri's as it was a mix of Peanut Sauce and Chili. Nevertheless, I did not enjoy the light bodied taste that came from the dip sauce. It was a tad too sweet and diluted. If I were to rate this, I would give 6/10 for the Satay and 5/10 for the dip sauce. Definitely one that is nowhere close to the ones that we get in Kajang.
