Ah Lye Curry Fish Head @ Subang Jaya, Selangor

Ah Lye Curry Fish Head has been around for ages but honestly, I only got to know about this place about a week ago. It is tucked in a hidden corner in SS19, Subang Jaya and is nowhere near the main trunk road of Subang Jaya. I just happened to be here for a meeting and that was when I saw lot's of customers coming to this place for lunch. Did some Google search and found the place to be very famous for it's Fish Head Curry and here I am this afternoon to check the place out.

We were here for a late lunch and hence the crowd had already cleared. Still, they were kind enough to accommodate us. Parking can be a challenge here during weekdays and my recommendation would be to visit them during the weekends. Then, you could easily park near the houses. Ordering was quite straight forward as their menu was quite informative and in the wait for the food was not too long. In about 15 minutes, the dishes were served. 

Fried Pork @ RM 18.00

Bean Sprouts with Salt Fish & Lard @ RM 11.00

Their Fried Pork was really good. Despite being deep fried, it wasn't oily and it was crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. Amazing flavours too. My rating for this dish shall be 8/10. Their Bean Sprouts with Salt Fish & Lard was decent too. Not overdone but it would have been better if there were more salt fish slices. My rating for this shall be 7/10. 

Fish Head Curry @ RM 32.00

Their Fish Head Curry was very good. Very reasonably priced at RM 32.00 and it would be good for at least four people. Came with lots of Tofu, Lady's Finger and Brinjals and the curry was thick and nice. Slightly on the creamy side too as they have added a little more coconut milk than usual. The fish head itself was fresh and as a total dish, it was really nice. My rating for this shall be 8/10. 

Ah Lye Curry Fish Head Restaurant definitely serves some excellent Fish Head Curry. No wonder the crowd is so huge on a daily basis. Very reasonable prices as well and excellent customer service. Definitely a good restaurant to visit for Fish Head Curry in Subang Jaya.
