Restoran Siaw Kok Chun @ Kajang, Selangor

As you may have known from my previous posts, Kajang is also famous for their Claypot Spicy Soup and this is another restaurant that is famous for the same dish. Besides that, they are also famous for their Kampung Chicken as well. However, this evening we wanted to have something different and that is the reason why we did not order the above items but just a few dishes that we like. 

Interior Of The Restaurant

Simple And Clean

We were here at around 5 pm and that was when they were opening up for the evening session. Even at that hour, they had a good flow of customers. One thing that I like about this restaurant is the cleanliness and the orderly manner that they get things done. The lady boss taking the orders was quite helpful and with that, ordering was a breeze. 

Pork Spring Rolls @ RM 12.00

Salted Egg Pork Ribs @ RM 18.00

The Pork Spring Rolls is another dish that Kajang is famous for. The preparation here was good and the spring rolls was larger compared to the other restaurants. The mix of veggies and meat were balanced and the flavours were good. 9/10 shall be my rating for this preparation. Similarly, the Salted Egg Pork Ribs was another excellent dish. Very generous with the salted egg and the ribs wasn't all bone either. It had a fair balance of bone, meat and fat which made it an awesome dish. 10/10 shall be my rating for this dish. 

Guinness Prawns @ RM 39.00

This dish is another house specialty and you should not miss it when you're here. They provided some large prawns and they were fresh. The blend of the sauces together with the fresh juicy meat was just heavenly. Each and every bite was a taste to remember. Another dish that I would rate at a perfect 10/10. 

Another good Chinese restaurant in Kajang that I would recommend would be Restoran Siaw Kok Chun that is located in Sungai Chua area. Besides the dishes that they are famous for which is the Claypot Spicy Soup and Kampung Chicken, the other dishes are equally as good. Slightly pricey but totally worth it.
