Restaurant Olive Sentral is a Western Cuisine that is located on the Ground Floor of Sooka Sentral. This restaurant specialises in a range of Western dishes and it also offers a handful of Asian and Vegetarian dishes. Being a restaurant by day and a bar by night, this place definitely has a charm of it's own and a batch of loyal's that frequent here.

Being mostly staffed by Filipinos, this restaurant is run quite efficiently. The waiters and kitchen staff are quite efficient in attending to customers. They have a small outdoor seating area in front of the restaurant, a moderate size indoor seating area and a very large outdoor seating area on the rear portion which is more suitable for those seeking to have a beer at night.

This restaurant does not serve Pork but due to the fact that they serve Alcohol, they do not have the Halal status. Otherwise, it is a Pork Free restaurant. They have a wide range of Alcoholic drinks which includes a variety of beers and wine. The food menu is separate from the drinks menu and I guess the reason for this is simply that they would not be extending the drinks menu to Muslim patrons. It is good of them to include some Vegetarian dishes too in their menu as there are quite a number of Indian expatriates working in this area who would come here to have a drink or two after work and most of them tend to be vegetarians.

The Mushroom Soup comes in a huge bowl and it is the homemade variety where real mushrooms are ground and used to make the soup. I was glad that it was not the off the can type of soup. It also comes with some Sour Cream in the center which adds great taste to it. There is also some bread sticks that is served with the soup. Honestly, I am not sure whey they serve such a huge portion as this dish alone is good to fill me up. I find their soup to be nice but slightly lacking in terms of flavours. Thus, I would rate this soup at 6/10 .

Their Mashed Potato was once again the homemade variety. Luckily this did not come in such a large bowl which would have then frightened me. The bowl size was decent and good to be treated as a side dish for two or even three. It was nicely garnished and tasted really good. I was impressed with this preparation. I would rate this dish at 9.3/10 .

Their Lamb Chop came with three huge, I mean really huge chunks of meat and there were some steamed potato's, french beans, tomato's and goats cheese on the sides and this whole platter only cost me RM 28.00 which is really very good value for money. I did not expect their dish to be this huge and if I had known, I would have just ordered this only as it would have been more than sufficient. There is no accompanying sauce for the meat and the way they have prepared it, you do not need any additional sauce as the meat chunks have been wonderfully flavoured. Definitely an excellent preparation. The meat itself were good cuts with very limited bones. I would definitely recommend this dish. My rating would be 9.6/10 .
Overall, I am very satisfied with this place. Their food is very good, the service is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. I would definitely be coming back to this place to try some of their other dishes out soon. A highly recommended restaurant.
