Besides Restaurant Ga Onn and Garden Seafood, this Restaurant Fu Man is another favourite restaurant among the locals in Tanjung Malim. This restaurant is located in Taman Universiti along the old road heading to Kuala Lumpur.

In fact, the Chinese crowd prefer this restaurant over the other two mentioned earlier. This restaurant does have much more food variety to offer and it is usually more crowded than the others. It is also a common sight to see tour buses stopping by here for their meal arrangements. Besides the ground floor, the first floor is also designed as a dining hall and is suitable for wedding functions. The boss here is a very friendly man but unlike Restaurant Ga Onn, they do not usually stop you when you over order. That would be the only setback here, otherwise the food is good and the prices are quite reasonable too.

Chinese Tea @ RM 3.00 per pot |
|
Coca Cola @ RM 2.00 |
|
White Rice @ RM 1.50 per plate |
Ordering is a breeze here and the boss usually helps out with the food options. Having a larger crowd, the waiting time here is slightly longer but then, it is still bearable as you would usually get the dishes in about 20 to 30 minutes.

The Dip Sauce |
These Deep Fried Pork Rolls are a favourite here and you would observe many tables ordering the same. The Pork Rolls have a succulent filling with a crispy coating that is good to be eaten even on it's own without the dip sauce. Their dip sauce too is homemade and is spicy with a tinge of lemon and garlic. I would rate this dish at 8.8/10 .

The Roasted Pork, though slightly dry, was still delicious and juicy with very crispy and crunchy skin. Though a favourite here, I have definitely tried better ones elsewhere. I would rate this dish at 7.5/10 .

Mapo Tofu @ RM 10.00 |
The Mapo Tofu was just so so, it was not as spicy as it should have been. The best preparation that I have tried for this is at the Szechuan Restaurant in Sunway Damansara. Comparing to that, this was a let down. I would only rate this at 7/10, nevertheless the portion was huge for the price of RM 10.00 .

Butter Prawns @ RM 16.00 |

Butter Prawns @ RM 16.00 |
This dish came with five medium sized prawns, coated with flour and butter, and deep fried to a golden brown colour. The preparation was good, really good, and I found this to be better to the one we usually get at Restaurant Ga Onn. I would rate this at 9/10 .

Their Steamed Fish with Chili Paste (Cheong Cheng) was superb! There were loads of the chili paste which was thick and filled with flavours. For this dish, this restaurant has the best preparation in Tanjung Malim. I would strongly recommend this dish at this restaurant. My rating for this dish would be 9.8/10 .
Overall, our lunch was good. The prices were quite reasonable and generally the taste was good, except for two dishes which I have individually mentioned earlier. Definitely a place that is worth revisiting to try out more of their signature dishes.
