We had to run down to Kuala Lumpur for an errand today and it's great that it's still the Hari Raya Haji season and the roads were quite clear. Usually, we would avoid heading to the city on our vegetarian days but this was inevitable and we had to do the trip. En route on our way to Kajang, we stopped over at this restaurant that is located in Bandar Puteri Puchong. I had bookmarked this restaurant in the past and am glad that we were able to tick it off this afternoon. I have heard some good reviews from friends about this place and that is why I have brought my family here unhesitatingly.

As I am fairly familiar with Bandar Puteri and had already known roughly where this restaurant is located, it was fairly easy for us. For those who would like to head here, once you turn into Bandar Puteri, keep left and do not take the overhead bridge. Keep going straight till you see a set of traffic lights and a turn to take a U Turn. At this place, take the U Turn and keep left again. At the end of the row, turn in on your left and keep going straight pass the badminton court and the food court. Shortly ahead, look right and you would be able to see this restaurant. The place was lovely I would say. Loved the design and the background Buddhist chants. Very clean but don't expect a smile from the staffs. They are efficient but none of them would smile and I do not know for what reason that is. That aside, the place was good.

Self Ordering Chit |
They had a very comprehensive menu covering a number of cuisines and yes, they were all vegetarian. Good to see that they also have some set deals along with some attractive deals for Steamboat. The above are just a few pages from their menu. Too many pages to photograph and I had skipped some but covered the variety of cuisines available. All the dishes are numbered and one would have to fill their orders into the above Self Ordering Chit and subsequently had them to the waiter once done.

Warm Water @ RM 1.00 per glass |
They had a number of fusion and organic drinks but we were just not in the mood for those. I had asked for Chinese Tea but that was not available. So we opted for the above warm water which was priced at RM 1.00 per glass and it came with a slice of lime.

Wait time wasn't too long and in less than 15 minutes, the dishes started arriving one after the other. The first to arrive was the above Curry Mutton Rice. Rice was served with a thick curry along with some huge potato cuts and vegetarian mutton pieces. The preparation seemed very much South Indian but with a Chinese touch to it. For RM 6.80 , it's definitely a good deal and we loved it. The gravy was just awesome and the potatoes complimented the curry wonderfully! I would rate this at 9/10 . Surely a good one to recommend!

Another good preparation. The stew had loads of vegetables, a variety of mushrooms and mock meat and it was served in a thick and starchy broth. The broth was very much medium bodied and that gave the advantage to the dish as the natural taste of the additions were not subdued. A good preparation and I would rate this at 8/10 .

Mock Fish |
Although the portion seems small, it was very satisfying. As you know these mock meats tend to expand and it was able to fill my tummy. They had tried their best to get as close as possible to the original version and I felt that they did justice to the dish. This may not be the best Vegetarian Fish & Chips that I had tasted, nevertheless it was a good one and surely one that I would recommend. I would rate this at 8.5/10 .
To summarise our dining experience this afternoon, I would say that they were good across the dishes that we tried. The ambiance was lovely and so was the food. Prices were decent except for the glass of water which was priced at RM 1.00 . Otherwise, a good vegetarian restaurant!
