Located along Jalan Aminudin Baki in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail, is this famous Chinese restaurant called Restaurant OK Seafood. Two doors away, there is another restaurant called Restaurant Fatt Fatt. I visited this restaurant sometime in early February this year and was somewhat disappointed with the food. As it was already 10.30 pm, there were not many restaurants that were open in the vicinity and having had my parents around, I did not want to go around looking for restaurants and settled for this place.

The Kitchen |
This restaurant operates stalls during the day and at night, the Chinese Kitchen is open for these food items. You would be surprised to see that both their waiters and cooks are all Bangladeshis. The Chinese boss just walks around overlooking the restaurant as assists in taking orders when it is a little busy. Otherwise, he just supervises. The Bangladeshi workers definitely are doing a good job. They are well familiar with all the Chinese dishes and and efficient in dealing with customers. Even this evening, we were attended by the same waiter and he was pretty efficient. Within minutes, ordering was settled.

Chinese Tea @ RM 0.60 per glass |
|
White Rice @ RM 1.50 per plate |
The drinks were priced reasonably and for the locality, the price of RM 1.50 per plate of white rice seemed reasonable.

Tofu @ RM 14.00 |

Tofu @ RM 14.00 |
Their Tofu, though slightly on the pricey side, was nice. There was minimal vegetables in it, though I would have preferred more vegetables but the volume of Tofu was encouraging. Taste was also good. Compared to my last visit, the food here has definitely improved. I would rate this dish at 8.8/10 .

Petai Sambal @ RM 14.00 |

Once again, slightly on pricey side but the preparation was delicious. There were loads of Petai and the Sambal was spicy and delicious. Definitely a recommended dish here. I would rate this at 9.3/10 .

Another dish that impressed us this evening. The volume was less but the taste was good. I am not sure what fish was used but it was nice.I would rate this dish at 9/10 .

Dip Sauce |
The Mantis Prawns with salted eggs were heavenly. Salted Eggs were added in abundance and we did not need the dip sauce as the dish was great by itself. Definitely one of the best preparations in town. I would rate this at 9.3/10 .

The Bill |
Compared to my last visit, the food have improved manifold. Today all the dishes were good and there were absolutely no complaints. Though slightly pricey, but that is reasonable as this restaurant is located in an upmarket residential area. Definitely a good place to have dinner in this part of town.
