My Toast N Roast @ Petaling Jaya, Selangor

My Toast N Roast is a restaurant that specialises in a number of noodles and they are also very famous for their Char Siew and Siew Yuk. Many magazines have listed them as the best Char Siew and Siew Yuk in town and being a lover of these two items, I had to give this place a try.

The Restaurant Along Jalan SS 2/6

Interior Of The Restaurant
This restaurant is located on the Chow Yang side of SS2, Petaling Jaya. That being the case, parking is so much easier as you tend to easily find a place to park. In fact, we managed to get a bay right in front of this restaurant.

Their menu specially focuses on their signature dishes and the prices seems very reasonable to me. Good variety of meats were on offer and they all seemed good. Ordering is done at your table and the waiters were very efficient. Only when it comes to paying the bill later on, that you would need to do at the cashier.

Honey Lemon Ice @ RM 4.00

Lemon Grass With Lime @ RM 3.50
In a matter of minutes, the drinks were served. Both were quite average taste wise. I would not say that they were up to our expectation. Definitely it could have been better. My rating for these shall be 6/10.

Char Siew (Small) @ RM 12.00
Their Char Siew was very good. It wasn't the lean type of meat and had lots of fat all over. This may not be to some people's liking and in that case, you could ask them for lean meat instead. If you do not mind the fat, then go for this as it was very tasty. My rating for this shall be 9/10.

Siew Yuk (Small) @ RM 12.00
Their Siew Yuk was another excellent one. Very crispy on the outside and soft and juicy on the inside. This surely is one of the best that I have tasted too. This too shall earn a rating of 9/10.

Wonton Mee @ RM 8.80

Clear Soup
Their Wonton Noodles were good. You can choose to have this with a variety of meat and we choose to have this with Char Siew. Besides Char Siew, they also add some fried lard to give it that extra crisp. My rating for this shall be 7/10. This also comes with a small bowl of clear soup and I really loved their soup. My rating for that shall be 9/10.

Hakka Noodle @ RM 7.50

Their Hakka Noodles is quite famous and Time Out has also listed it as one of the best Hakka Noodles in the city. The minced meat was good and the flavours were just right. They had also added some fried lard and that definitely did boost the taste. My rating for this shall be 8/10.

Fried Sui Kow @ RM 5.40
For me, their Fried Sui Kow was above average as I have tasted much better ones. However, what I liked about this was the non greasy texture despite being deep fried. Taste wise, I would give this 7/10.

Numerous Write Ups

Our Bill
This restaurant definitely has some fantastic Char Siew and Siew Yuk and I would say that it is one of the best ones that you can get in Kuala Lumpur. Besides this, their Hakka Noodles and Wantan Noodles are also pretty good. Definitely a place that I would recommend.
