Aroii Thai Boat Noodle & Street Food @ Cyberjaya, Selangor

After the successful introduction and expansion of 'Boat Noodles' in Malaysia, today we have a number of franchises and stand alone cafes who have started selling their own version of that dish and Aroii Thai is one such outlet. Aroii Thai has a number of outlets across the Klang Valley as well and this entry is based on their outlet in Cyberjaya.

Aroii Thai in Shaftsbury Square

Business Hours

Condiments
Their outlet in Cyberjaya is in Shaftsbury Square and is open daily from 11.30 am till 9.30 pm. It is a simple no frills outlet with both indoor and outdoor seating. Located on the Ground Floor, it is easily noticeable as you drive along Shaftsbury Square. From my observation, the response is good for this place. be it day or night, they do have a good flow of customers and it's always at least two thirds full.

Order Chit
Compared to the original Boat Noodles, these guys have an improvised menu and all the dishes are priced at RM 2.09 each. Beyond the usual Boat Noodles, they have also included Thai street food into their menu and this gives patrons greater variety under one roof. Once the orders have been finalised, just tick them on to the chit given and hand it over to any one of the waiters.

Thai Iced Tea @ RM 2.09

Vegetarian Spicy Spring Roll @ RM 2.09
Their Thai Iced Tea was exactly like the one that we get in Thailand. I remember the taste so well because I loved it and this was just the same.  The Vegetarian Spicy Spring Rolls wasn't really spicy but it was delicious for sure. The crispy outer texture along with the juicy filling was a treat to spring roll lovers. I would rate their tea at 9/10 and the same goes for their Spring Rolls. Both are items that I would recommend.

Chicken Glass Noodle Soup @ RM 2.09

Hat Yai Fried Chicken Wing @ RM 2.09
Chicken Glass Noodle Soup was quite simple, very limited portions but it did taste good. I can't seem to find anything to complain about this dish as it was just the way it should be. The flavours were definitely good. Their Hat Yai Fried Chicken Wing was excellent. I loved the marination and it was fried to perfection. Each bite was heavenly! I would rate their Boat Noodle at 8/10 and their Fried Chicken Wing at 9/10. Despite the Boat Noodle getting one mark lesser, both are dishes that I would recommend here.

Thai Basil Chicken With Rice @ RM 2.09

Thai Fish Cake @ RM 2.09
Their Thai Basil Chicken with Rice was another good dish. Minced chicken prepared in an authentic manner and served with rice. At no point did I feel that I was having this outside of Thailand. It was so close in terms of taste. Similarly, their Thai Fish Cake was equally good. Such delicate texture and it was very tasty. Both deserve to be given 9/10.

Bill For The Day
Based on the Boat Noodle outlets that I have tried in Malaysia, this one is by far the best. Authentic flavours and at no point in time would you feel that you're having this outside of Thailand. Every dish that I tried was good and satisfying. Well for RM 2.09 per bowl, it's definitely a fantastic deal and worth giving this place a try.
