After having not visited for almost six months, we return this evening to one of our favourite Chinese restaurants in Tanjung Malim, Perak. Restoran Claypot Junction is located in Taman Anggerik Desa and is directly opposite the entrance to the hospital. I have blogged numerous times about this restaurant and so many variety of dishes that they have to offer. What amazes me is the consistency of taste over the years and that factor alone is what draws be back over and over again.

This restaurant has both an indoor and outdoor dining area and being a corner unit, the ventilation is pretty good. They have a comprehensive menu that covers both vegetarian as well as non vegetarian dishes are their prices are quite reasonable.

Claypot Tofu with Pork Belly is one of my favourites here and I tend to order it most of the time. I just love the way the dish is prepared. The tofu is so soft and good and the broth has a balanced flavour. The crispy Pork Belly adds an amazing taste to the overall dish. Absolutely lovely and my rating for this shall be 9/10. This Pork Ribs dish is something that we're ordering for the very first time and I was very impressed with the dish. Lean pork ribs were served without the bones and the marination was heavenly. Another fantastic dish to have here and my rating for this shall be 9/10 as well.

Okra with Sambal Belacan was another well prepared dish. The okra was done just right and the crispiness was intact. They were pretty generous with the shrimp paste as well and both the okra as well as the paste complimented each other nicely. A dish that deserves a rating of 8/10. Their Steamed Fish was good as well and the chilli paste had a lovely mildly spicy and sweet taste and that blend went so well with the fish. Another one that deserves a rating of 8/10.

As always, the food here has been consistently good and I am glad that it remains so over the years. I am yet to come across a dish at this restaurant that is not up to my expectations. Their prices are also reasonable and the service levels are good. Definitely another good Chinese restaurant to visit in Tanjung Malim, Perak.
