Being dominated by stalls during the day, these stalls cease operation sometime right after lunch hours and thereafter, the owners take over the food scene and their kitchen is opened up. At this time, you would get a number of simple Chinese dishes that is prepared at reasonable prices.

The above is their menu and the list of items that are available for dinner. Definitely a good variety of offering that is available and the prices are quite reasonable for Taman Tun.

Coca Cola @ RM 2.50 |
|
Barley @ RM 1.50 |
|
Cutlery |
Usually the lady boss takes the orders and sometimes, the Indonesian helpers may assist her with that. Ordering is quite straightforward as even with the Indonesian helpers, it is pretty much pointing to the items in the menu and it is impossible for them to make a mistake with the orders as they usually would repeat the orders for confirmation. We ordered Coca Cola and a glass of Barley for the drinks. I was impressed to see that they still use whole boiled Barleys instead of the powdered form. The Barley was good and I would rate it at 8/10 .

Fried Rice @ RM 14.00 (2 pax) |
|
Fried Rice |
Their Fried Rice was definitely of a different colour and I believe the colouring must have come from the Char Siew. Nevertheless, it was loaded with an abundant amount of Char Siew, Shrimps, Eggs and Long Beans. The dish, was well done and tasted good. The portion too was huge. I would rate their Fried Rice at 8.5/10 .

Minced Meat Fried Egg @ RM 8.00 |
|
Closer Look At The Eggs |
The Fried Egg was definitely delicious and although it can't be clearly seen in the above photographs, there was a good amount of minced meat in the egg. It also came with very minimal oil and that is something that would be very much welcomed by our health conscious friends. I would rate their Fried Egg at 8.7/10 .
|
Mixed Vegetable Soup @ RM 7.00 |
|
A Whole Heap of Ingredients |
Their Mixed Vegetable Soup was definitely fantastic. It came with a heap of ingredients right from carrots, other green vegetables up to tofu, pork and prawns. The soup too had a strong gingery flavour and it was really delicious. Even if you are not planning to have a full meal and if you happen to be in the area, I would strongly recommend you to drop by and just try their soup. It is really good. I would rate this soup at 9.5/10.
In summary, based on the dishes that we had ordered tonight, we were very happy with our meal. The food was good, decently priced for the area and the service was speedy. Besides that, the restaurant itself was very clean. Definitely a recommended place for a decent meal.
