Restaurant Zheng Zhu is a small neighbourhood Chinese restaurant that caters for the locals living within Damansara Damai area. During the day, they sell Wan Ton Noodles and after late afternoon, they sell dishes that are typical to any Chinese Restaurant. Located along Jalan PJU 10/3D, this restaurant is run by a few sisters who have a very close relationship with all their customers. I have been dining here for years and there have been instances when the kitchen was already closed and they were about to lock up the shop and when I arrived, they specifically cooked for me and my family when the doors were closed and this is an example of the extent that they are willing to go for friendship.

The restaurant is very simple in layout yet it is very clean. Despite being humble, it is fully air-conditioned for customers comfort. In the evenings, they also sell those single dishes like White Rice accompanied by a single side which is good for a single diner or even those noodles and other Chinese dishes. Do not expect them to prepare those complex dishes as those are not available here. Even any Fish dish, they only have fillets and not the full fish. As mentioned earlier, the girls running this restaurant may seem rough in their approach but they definitely are very friendly. The prices here are also very reasonable where even for a family of four, you could have a wonderful meal for less than RM 50. Do note that they are closed on alternate Sundays.

Coca Cola @ RM 2.30 |

Herbal Tea @ RM 1.50 |
Their Herbal Tea, as always, is very well done. It is pure and concentrated with just the right amount of sweetness derived from the rock sugar that is boiled together with the tea. I would rate their Herbal Tea at 9.5/10 .

Cantonese Style Kuey Teow @ RM 4.00 |
My friend was not fond of the Fried Noodles in the above dish and hence we requested for the dish to only have Kuey Teow. We ordered this dish for one person and priced at RM 4.00, the portion was really huge. I do not think that you can get this anywhere else in Kuala Lumpur for RM 4.00 . The lowest that I have seen is RM 5.50 . Taste wise, it was good with loads of eggs, pork, squid, prawns and vegetables. I would rate this dish at 9.0/10 .

Fried Rice @ RM 4.00 |
The Fried Rice too was satisfactory. It came with loads of Char Siew, Chinese Sausages, Prawns, Eggs and Chicken and had a power packed taste. For RM 4.00, once again the portion was huge. I would rate this dish at 8.5/10 .

Homemade Chili Paste |
Their Chili Paste is a must try. It is homemade and has a very unique taste of it's own. Packed with belacan and ground chili, this was heavenly. I would rate this at 9.5/10 .

Chili Chicken @ RM 6.00 |

Chili Chicken @ RM 6.00 |
Their Chili Chicken was nicely prepared with loads of sliced onions, cashew nuts, dried chili's and had a strong vinegar aftertaste to it. For the price, it was definitely very worth it. A decent dish to try here. I would rate it at 7.5/10 .

Sweet & Sour Pork @ RM 6.00 |

Sweet & Sour Pork @ RM 6.00 |
This dish was good. The Pork was fried to perfection and the sauce was perfectly balanced with the right flavours. I would rate this dish at 8.7/10 .
In summary, this restaurant has never let me down. I have dined here at least thirty to forty times now and each time, I have returned a satisfied customer. Their food is decent if not good and the price is extremely wallet friendly. Definitely these guys are my favourite neighbourhood restaurant.
