Cinnamon's @ Shah Alam, Selangor

Of late, Bamboo Briyani has been making waves in the Klang Valley and people have been flocking to Klang just to give this dish a try. There has been lot's of mixed reviews about that place in Klang which is only open during the weekends and that too limited hours. Customers have been forced to queue for hours and that is one of the reasons why I have not made a trip to Klang yet. Having heard about this place in Kota Kemuning that has recently started serving the same, I decided to give them a call to confirm and when they did, went over for dinner the very same day. Well, at least I don't have to queue up since news about this restaurant has not traveled much yet.

Located On Level 1, Gamuda Walk

Cozy Environment

Variety Of Bamboo Briyani Available
This is typically a fusion restaurant and has a variety of very interesting dishes and the latest addition to that list would be this Bamboo Briyani. They are located on the first floor of Gamuda Walk which is located in Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam. The restaurant isn't a large one hence my recommendation would be to call in and make a reservation, especially if you're coming in a large group. The overall ambiance was fantastic with both indoor and outdoor seating spaces available. As far as the Bamboo Briyani is concerned, they have four varieties; Chicken Briyani, Mutton Briyani, Prawn Briyani and Lamb Shank Briyani.

Salty Asam Boi @ RM 7.90
A variety of drinks ranging from coffee to cocktails were available and they were reasonably priced. I wanted something fizzy and therefore went for this Salty Asam Boi which was priced at RM 7.90 . Loved the presentation and the drink. My rating for this shall be 8/10.

Bamboo Briyani Being Served

Bamboo Mutton Briyani @ RM 21.90
Just like the other place in Klang, you get to witness the Bamboo Briyani being emptied onto your plate and it's quite a sight. For the price, I felt that the portion was huge as well.

Cucumber Tomato Raita
The only side dish that they serve with this Briyani is some Cucumber and Tomato Raita. For me, this was just okay and not something to shout about. The raita was a little watery and would have been better if there was a little more curd taste to it. Otherwise, it was fresh and decent. My rating for this shall be 7/10.

Generous With The Mutton

The Bill
Their Bamboo Mutton Briyani was pretty good. It was prepared in such a way where you would not need to add any gravy. The rice was very rich in flavours and I absolutely loved it. They were very generous with the mutton as well and I don't think that I would be wrong to say that this dish had the most amount of meat that I have seen in a Briyani. The flavours of the mutton were awesome too. If you're looking for a good Bamboo Briyani and do not wish to travel all the way to Klang for this, then this place would be a fantastic alternative. I find their prices to be very reasonable as well and they are totally worth it. My rating for this shall be 9/10.
