Besides the place that I had shared yesterday, another good place to check out in Broga is this I Love Broga Stall that specialises in Ais Kacang and Dry Hakka Mee. In fact there are two places that are famous for this, Uncle Lim's Stall and this one and both are facing each other.
I Love Broga Stall In Broga Town |
Located Opposite The Police Station |
This stall is located right opposite the Broga Police Station and they are open from 8.30 am till 4 pm daily. In fact, both stalls follow the same opening hours. I can't say which one is better, both have their own following and for me, this seems better. Again, it's one that suits your taste buds better.
Both stalls have similar offerings and the prices are same too. The signature dishes here are their Hakka Dry Noodles, Pork Balls and Ais Kacang. When compared to what we get in Kuala Lumpur, the prices are so much cheaper.
Ais Kacang @ RM 4.00 |
Lots Of Ingredients |
Wonderful Is The Word! |
Their Ais Kacang may seem like it's just plain shaved ice and palm sugar but once it settles down, you'd be able to see all the other ingredients that have been added. Easily I could sight peanuts, corn, grass jelly, lengkong and red beans. Very generous with the ingredients and it tastes so good. A must try when you're in Broga. I would rate this at 9/10.
Signature Dry Hakka Noodles @ RM 4.50 |
Extremely Tasty Clear Soup |
Their Dry Noodles was so tasty. It came with lots of minced pork, Char Siew and flat noodles in soy sauce. The blend of that was simply marvelous. It tasted so authentic so much so I don't remember eating one that was this good. Even their clear soup was extremely tasty and it had no signs of MSG being used. My rating for this Dry Hakka Noodles is 10/10 and the same goes for their soup as well.
Their Dry Hakka Noodles was simply out of this world and it was the the best that I have come across. It was rich in ingredients and the taste was so authentic. Even their clear soup tasted extremely good. Their Ais Kacang was very good as well. Huge portions and again they were very generous with the ingredients. Definitely one of the best Ais Kacang's that I have tasted and reminds me of the ones that we used to get in Ipoh in the early 80's. Another hidden gem in this charming little town.
