Tedboy Express @ Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur

For those living around Bangsar and Kerinchi, you would have been familiar with Tedboy Express. Tedboy Express is a bakery that is located around Bangsar and Bangsar South area. In fact, if I am not mistaken, they have two outlets inside of Bangsar South alone.

Tedboy Express in Wisma Averis, Bangsar South

Waiting For Our Orders
It has been a while since I last visited them and that was at their other outlet in Bangsar South. I happened to be at Wisma Averis this afternoon and I was surprised to see that they had another much larger outlet here. As it usually is with all their outlets, this too is very much a self service bakery cum restaurant. Besides the usual buns and sandwiches, I was surprised to find that this outlet does also offer some local dishes as well. Not sure if this was something that was only available here or a newly introduced cuisine across all their outlets.

Iced Honey Lemon @ RM 10.00

Iced Lemon Tea @ RM 10.00
Their drinks have always been impressive and I am very glad that they have been maintaining the quality. Both drinks that we had ordered were absolutely perfect. They were so refreshing and it wouldn't be wrong for me to say that these drinks were amazingly good. My rating for these shall be 10/10.

Ayam Percik Set with Acar @ RM 15.00

Chicken Pepperoni Pizza @ RM 15.90
Their Ayam Percik Set was decent. I find the portions to be good and for such a set up, their pricing was reasonable too. Taste wise, I would rate this dish at 7/10. Their Chicken Pepperoni Pizza was good. Freshly made to order and they were pretty generous with the ingredients. Even their cheese was of a good quality. My rating for this shall be 8/10.

Sausage Cheese Danish @ RM 4.80

Cream Cheese Danish @ RM 3.80

Ham & Corn @ RM 2.50

Creamy Chicken Quiche @ RM 3.50
We took a few of their buns and sampled among ourselves. As expected, they were all good and the prices were justified. If I were to rate these, my average rating for their buns shall be 8/10.

For some good coffee, buns and sandwiches around Bangsar and Kerinchi area, I would recommend Tedboy Express. They do have an excellent variety of buns and they are amazingly good. Reasonable prices as well. Besides these, they also serve some local dishes and those too were good.

Tedboy Express @ Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur

Tedboy Express is a small bakery cum cafe that is located in Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur. I don't think that they have been around for many years and this must be a recent venture. Their main outlet is located along Jalan Telawi in Bangsar. I have heard so many positive things about this place. Apparently, they use all natural ingredients, baked in small quantities to ensure freshness of the bread and best of all, any unsold item is donated to charity at the end of the day. These are indeed great things that a bakery could do, especially the last one which is a very noble deed. I had never visited their main outlet in Jalan Telawi. This too, was just a matter of chance as I had a meeting here this afternoon.

This bakery is located on The Sphere side of Bangsar South. Mostly outdoor seating with just a small bar like indoor seating. The outlet itself was not too big and hence the larger open air seating area. It seems that they place is quite famous here as there were a large number of customers even during this non peak hours.

Some Buns

More Buns, Toasts and Muffins

More Sandwiches

Pizza and Pies
What I loved most about this place was the richness in variety and not quantity. They had a huge number of items but they were just a little of everything. This gives customers variety to choose from and also freshness as new stock is baked as and when they run out.

Happy Hour Promotion

Freshly Made Pizza's Upon Order

Other Promotions

Prices
Besides the usual day to day prices, they also had a number of promotions during these non peak hours. Definitely a very good deal especially the prices for their Cappuccinos. The pizza's too looked good and it is great to learn that they are freshly baked upon order.

Our Bill

Cutlery
Since it was a midday thingy and after a heavy Banana Leaf Meal in Brickfields, we went light. My friend and I shared a Cheese Toast which was quite big and a drink each. I went for their promotion and got myself a cup of Cappuccino and my friend got himself an Iced Lemon Tea.

Iced Lemon Tea @ RM 9.00

Iced Lemon Tea @ RM 9.00
The Iced Lemon Tea was priced at RM 9.00 and this was for a tall glass. The drink was good and very refreshing, perfect for the hot afternoon weather. There was not an overload of ice and it was just perfectly fixed. Neither too sweet not sour, I would rate this at 8.5/10 . Suitably priced for the locality.

Cheese Toast @ RM 3.50

Rich With Cheese
This was just amazing! A large old fashioned bread toasted with a thick layer of cheese and served at a crisp. It was so good that I keep drooling over the taste. The price was also very reasonable. One that I would highly recommend! I would rate this at 9.3/10 .

Cappuccino @ RM 5.00

Cappuccino @ RM 5.00
The usual price for this is RM 10.00 and since it was the Happy Hour promotion, it cost us RM 5.00 only. Their Cappuccino was good. One of the good ones in town. I would rate this at 9/10 .

We did not try many items though I would have loved to try their Pizza but everything that we tried were good. The prices were very reasonable, especially those on promotion and the food tasted good. Ambiance was nice and it is very suitable for business meetings. Would definitely return for more soon.

S' Mores Bar & Restaurant @ Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur

My parents were in town today and I invited them to have dinner together. With that said, I wanted to go someplace that we have not been before. It was then that my brother suggested that we should try one of the eateries in this newly constructed place called The Sphere in Bangsar South.

S'Mores in Bangsar South
I initially though that it would be very difficult to find this place as I had passed Bangsar South so many times from the Federal Highway but could never find the entrance but with the GPS, that problem was resolved and I learned today that you would need to access this place via Kerinchi, near Pantai Hillpark. Once we got near, there were a number of road signs that directed us to this place. Parking was also not a problem and we managed to park at the outdoor car park which is just beside this restaurant. The restaurant had quite a number of customers when we arrived and a number of the tables were occupied by some local celebrities.  Most of their waitresses were Filipinos and they were very efficient and friendly. The inner seating area is designed more like a bar with dim lighting, bar counters and a number of tables. As it was not that hot today, we chose to sit outside.

The Menu

The Menu

The Menu
Their menu was packed with Porky dishes. They had a decent range of German, Italian, Mediterranean and Western dishes. It is good as we were in the mood for some good meat today. I find their prices to be quite cheap as well compared to many of the similar providers out there. Above this, they do have some great beer promotions and it seems that this is one of the cheapest places to get good beers. Their promotions are really worth it. But for us tonight, beer was out as my brother had to drive my parents back to our hometown after this and I too had to head in to office early tomorrow.

Coca Cola @ RM 6.00

Cafe Latte @ RM 10.00
We had the above drinks today. Their Latte was not bad. It was not great but it was good. In fact, their Latte took some time to be delivered and it seems that they had just ground the beans then. I guess not many order Latte's in bars. I would rate the Cafe Latte at 7.5/10 .

Whole Roasted Chicken @ RM 78.00

Mediterranean Salad Included

Some Roasted Potato's
This platter comes with a whole Roasted Chicken stuffed with herbs and spices, Roasted Potato's and some Mediterranean Salad. We found this to be really delicious and the chicken was prepared very well. It also came with some dip sauces and they were Mustard Sauce and Black Pepper Sauce. The meat was tender and the juices from the chicken and herbs were intact. Every bite was juicy and delicious. A recommended dish here.  I would rate this dish at 9/10 .

Mixed Sausage Platter 2 @ RM 32.00
They had two different platters of German Sausages and this is their Platter 2. Platter 1 is priced at RM 28.00 and platter 2 at RM 32.00 . For the size of the sausages, this dish was truly worth it. This dish comes with some mashed potato's and salad. The sausages were extremely good, the mashed potato's excellent and the salad was nice. I would rate this dish at 10/10 . Another excellent dish here.

Hawaiian Pork Pizza @ RM 28.00
This is by far the best Pork Pizza that I have ever tasted. Comes with chunks of Pork Bacon, Sausages and Pineapple. Every bite was truly a taste to remember. Even as I write this entry now, I can clearly remember the taste of this pizza. A taste to remember always. I would strongly recommend this Pizza. My rating, 10/10 .

Us Having Dinner
Overall, the evening was simply fantastic. This restaurant serves excellent food, the service was very good and the ambiance was nice. Though being a bar cum bistro, it is a place that you can go with the family including kids and have a great time. I am definitely looking forward to come here again and try out some of their other dishes.
