Miew Shin Vegetarian @ Seri Kembangan, Selangor

This evening we were in Seri Kembangan and were looking out for a Chinese Vegetarian Restaurant to have dinner. Just like the norms, I looked up in Google and this restaurant called Miew Shin Vegetarian came highly recommended. Since all the reviews were good, we decided to head over to that restaurant.

Neat And Clean

It is best to use Waze of Google Maps to get you to this restaurant and it can be quite complicated. Actually, they are located along the road that is facing the main road but due to the MRT construction, the entire view os obstructed and you would have no clue that there is such a restaurant behind those barricades. The restaurant itself was very neat and clean and it was air-conditioned. We were here for an early dinner and one by one, customers started arriving after 6.30 pm. 

The above are just some of the pages from their elaborate menu. No photographs but they are very organised and listed according to the categories. Their prices seem very reasonable as well. After having gone through the menu, we placed our orders and the wait time was quite brief.  

Chrysanthemum Tea

Soup With Pickled Vegetables

Rich In Ingredients

I enjoyed their  Chrysanthemum Tea as it was nicely brewed and had very little sugar added. My rating for this drink shall be 8/10. Their Soup with Pickled Vegetables was very good. Good mix of ingredients like Tofu, Mushrooms, Tomatoes and Pickled Vegetables and the flavours were lovely. Not too sour and it was just right. 9/10 would be my rating for this.  

Mock Duck Meat

Claypot Mock Fish Head Curry

Their Fried Mock Duck looked so simple but it was heavenly. It would not be wrong to say that this was the best version of this dish that I had tried. 10/10 for that heavenly preparation. The next item that we had ordered was their Claypot Mock Fish Head Curry. Another one that totally impressed us. The curry was thick and delicious and it did not feel like we were having a vegetarian meal. Such was  the perfection of this dish. Another one that deserves a rating of 9/10. 

Sambal Petai

Dried Chili Mock Squid

Their Sambal Belacan was quite different. It was wet unlike the usual and there was so much sauce at the base. They had also added brinjals which ended up tasting quite different. Maybe as a preference, I would have preferred the dry version. Nevertheless, it was still good and deserves a rating of 8/10. Their Dried Chili Mock Squid was another excellent preparation. Everything was perfect and we totally enjoyed this dish. 10/10 would be my rating for this dish. 

For good Chinese Vegetarian food in Seri Kembangan, Miew Shin Vegetarian Restaurant would be my place of choice. Their food is very good and the prices are reasonable. Excellent variety as well and the restaurant itself is neat and clean.
