Four Seasons London @ Empire Shopping Gallery, Subang Jaya

Having started their legacy in London, Four Seasons London has spread it's wings to Malaysia and now has two outlets in the Klang Valley. This one, operating under the same name, is located in Empire Shopping Gallery and there is another one which operates under a different name but part of the same group and is located in Bangsar. They are acclaimed to be selling the Worlds Best Roast Duck and I am very eager to try it out.

Interior of the Restaurant
This restaurant is located on the Lower Ground Floor of the mall. I found the restaurant to be quite small and cramped and due to it's size, the tables are laid quite close to each other and does not give much room for privacy.

The Menu
Their menu is very impressive and surely has loads to offer. The above are just some of their pages. The service here is quite good and despite having a busy night, they were able to attend to us quite fast.

Coffee @ RM 5.50
Their Coffee was just average and it was a little too sweet for me. I would only rate this at 5.5/10 .

Chinese Herbal Tea @ RM 3.80
Sorry for the bad photo quality. The Chinese Herbal Tea was nothing much to shout about too. I would only rate it at 6.5/10 .

Century Egg with Sliced Ginger @ RM 9.80

Closer Look at the Century Egg
This dish was quite nice. I like the way the ginger was seasoned and it blended well with the eggs. Definitely a recommended dish. I would rate this dish at 9.3/10 .

Two Combination Meat Platter @ RM 19.00
I had initially ordered the Three Combination Meat Platter but was later informed that they only had two meats available and I just went along and so what was served was their Roasted Duck and Roasted Pork. A mistake that I did later was that I did not check the bill where I was charged RM 29.00 for this which is the price for the Three Combination Meat Platter when in fact it should have only been RM 19.00 .

Roast Duck
Their Roast Duck is supposed to be the Worlds Best and that is specific to their outlet in London. I was told by a friend that the outlet in London serves very juicy ducks which are thick in fats and comes with a wonderful sauce. They still carry that fame here but it was just not up to that mark. They were nice, no doubt about it, but they definitely do not deserve to call their offering here the Worlds Best title. I have tried many other places in the Klang Valley that serve better Roast Duck than this. I would rate this at 9/10 .

Roast Pork
Their Roast Pork was good but once again, not the best. The one served in Reunion Bangsar is better than this. Nevertheless, it still comes as a recommended item at this restaurant. I would rate their Roast Pork at 9/10 .

House Special Sweet & Sour Pork @ RM 18.80
This dish was quite good. Their coating was very well done and it complimented the meat very well. Their sauce too was nice though it would have been better if there were slightly more vegetables as well as sauce. I would rate this dish at 8.8/10 .

Stir Fried French Beans with Minced Meat @ RM 17.80
A simple dish that was well prepared. I like the way the beans were cooked as it was rightly done and not overcooked thus giving it a crunchy and sweet taste with every bite. The minced meat was not too bold in its taste and it complimented the sweet taste of the vegetable well. Overall, a good dish. I would rate this dish at 9.5/10 .

Salted Fish with Pork Belly @ RM 20.80

Better Look at the Dish
I felt that this dish could have been better. The Pork Belly was too thinly sliced and was of a very limited quantity. To me, there seemed to be more onions than meat in this dish. Taste wise, it was okay. It would have turned out to be a better dish if only there were more Pork Belly in it. I would rate this dish at 7.5/10 .

Won Ton Soup @ RM 11.80

WonTon's in the Soup
This dish was quite good. For the price of RM 11.80, there were 8 Won Ton's in the soup and they were of a decent size. The soup too tasted good and the dumpling was nice and well prepared. I would rate this dish at 9.6/10 .

On the whole, they definitely serve some great dishes here. The service is efficient and the staffs are friendly. The only setback being the outlets small size which would have been better if it was slightly larger. Just a word of caution to check the bill when paying. Besides having over paid for the Meat Platter, I was also overcharged with the White Rice whereby I ended up paying for two bowls when I had only ordered one. I honestly believe that it was an error from their part as I know how it was for them that night. It was so crowded and they were literally running around serving customers. Otherwise, it is definitely a great place to dine.

I find that this restaurant simply charging to your bill without order the item.
When you call back to ask, then the one who answer the call will self ask self answer. Like they already know they will simply charge to the bill. I definitely won't go back to that restaurant anymore as they are CHEATING!

  3. Good question where they cook their roast pork ? I've been to this restaurant several times, just love their roast pork but now not anymore due to roast pork not like used to be and the taste totally different. Maybe they change recipe, chef or get it somewhere else.

    1. Is it? That's sad. It used to be good. Suxh a waste to see the quality dropping. Yeah, that could be highly possible.

我是甲洞三宝寺 (暹廟) SAMNAK SAMBODHI BUDDHIST ASSOCIATION NO: 19-21 JALAN 38 TAMAN DESA JAYA KEPONG 52100 KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA.
