Bruce Lee Sushi & Roll @ SS15, Subang Jaya

Having started in June 2013, Bruce Lee Sushi & Roll is located in SS 15, Subang Jaya. This particular outlet is an offshoot of a New Zealand chain of Sushi outlets predominantly in operation in Auckland. Serving Japanese food in an unconventional and fusion way, this restaurant has definitely gained popularity among the youth as well as the working class in this area.

The restaurant has a very modern look to it. The design, though simple, is unique and gives a fast food feeling to it.They have both indoor and outdoor seating spaces and free Wifi is provided to customers.

Value for Money Party Packs
Their menu is filled with Sushi's, Noodles, Chicken Teriyaki Meals and Nigiri Rolls all prepared with fresh ingredients and no MSG is included in all their food. They also prepare Rolls for Vegetarians too. Students get 15% discount on all meal items provided you are able to show your student ID. This is a good strategy as this locality is mostly filled with students from INTI, Taylors and a number of other small colleges. There are a number of fusion items on their menu which include ingredients like Peanut Butter etc. Ordering is very easy. Though it is supposed to be a fast food concept where you would have to go to the counter to place your orders, since it was non peak hours, the waitress came over to the table and got my orders. Do note that they do not have the Halal status but this is a Pork Free restaurant.

The Cutlery

Green Tea
I had ordered one of their set meals and with that I get the Noodles Set, Green Tea and some Ice Cream towards the end. Their Green Tea was quite good and was the darker and bolder type of tea. I would rate their tea at 8/10 . I also noted that all their food including the rolls is prepared according to order and that's a good concept as only fresh food is then served to customers.

Dry Udon Set @ RM 12.90

Dry Udon Noodles

Dry Udon Noodles
Their Dry Udon Noodles comes in a good portion size and has a number of ingredients added to it which was very satisfying. Though we cannot compare this to the specialty Japanese restaurants, it was still quite good and had the right flavours to it. I would rate their Noodles at 8.5/10 .

Ice Cream
For RM 12.90, the set was quite satisfying. The Ice Cream was good too and here, they only serve New Zealand Natural Premium Ice Cream which is a trusted and well known brand for quality ice creams.

Nigiri Rolls @ RM 2.50 each

Dip Sauce with Wasabi
I wanted to try their Sushi's too but the roll size seemed a little too much for me and hence I opted for the above Nigiri Rolls. They were priced at RM 2.50 each and both the ones that I had ordered were satisfying although not mind blowing. For a simple, concept restaurant like this, it was of a good and acceptable quality. I would rate their Nigiri Rolls at 8.8/10 .

Overall, I would think that this is a good place to get a decent Japanese meal at very affordable prices. Their service is excellent, food is fresh and good and the prices are cheap. Definitely well tailored for students and those on a budget in this part of the city.
