As we were in Sunway Giza Mall today, we decided to head over to Wong Kok Char Chan Teng for dinner. As usual, this place was buzzing with crowd and the waiters were literally on their toes attending to the needs of the customers. This is a restaurant that serves Hong Kong cuisine. I believe it is a chain of restaurants which originated in Hong Kong. Well the history aside, all its outlets are usually packed during lunch and dinner hours and business is so good to the extend they do not have credit card facility in all its outlets. So, if you are heading here, just bear that in mind as you would have to pay in cash only.

It is located on the Ground Floor of the Mall. This restaurant has both inside and outside seating areas. As for us today, we chose to sit inside and the weather was quite hot.

Service was very efficient here. The moment we took our seats, the waiter handed us the menu. The menu had almost about a hundred items in it and it took us a while in deciding what to have for dinner. Here they practice a self fill in chit where you would tick the items that you would like to have in the chit and then hand it over to the waiter. Once finalised, we called the waiter and he collected the order chit. Within minutes, he summed it up in the cash register and the orders goes automatically to the kitchen. According to the dishes ordered, he then delivers the cutlery to our table. Very efficient automation.

Every time I come here, I would order the above tea as I like it very much. Over the years that I have had this tea, the taste has never differed and had been constant. It is different to our style of preparing tea as the amount of milk added is slightly less and the tea taste is stronger. I would rate this at 9.5/10 . My all time favourite drink here at this restaurant.

We then ordered another coke and also the above Red Bean Pudding Drink which is a fusion drink. It was pretty unique and nice. Definitely worth the price. I would rate this at 9/10 .

This is another one of my favourites here. I have tried this in a number of places including Old Town White Coffee but it has never tasted as good as the one you find here. Surely a must try items here. I would rate this at 10/10 .

This dish was just average I would say. The let down was the waffle which was too dry. Although we allowed the ice cream to soak in well, still it was not up to the mark. I would only rate this at 6/10 .

This dish was another disappointing dish here. This was the first time we were trying this dish at this restaurant. It tasted very flat and was just not up to the mark. In fact, we left almost half of it as it was really bad. I would only rate this at 3/10 .

This was a Chef's recommended dish. It was quite nice though. The meat was soft but not very fresh.I would not say that this is a bad dish. In fact it is a good dish but just does not qualify to be one of the best ones I have tried. I would rate this at 8/10 .

As we all know, their Cheese Baked dishes are really good and this was up to the mark. It was filled with quality cheese and the rice and fish was delicious. The cheese had formed an top layer and the juices of the fish was intact. A great dish here. I would rate this at 9.3/10 .

Another excellent dish here. Their Cheese Baked dishes have never been a let down. Again I would rate this dish at 9.3/10 . Very well done.
The meal today came to a total of RM 94.50 including a Service Charge of 10%. This is definitely a great place to have the above Hong Kong dishes but you must be selective. Some of their entries that are not their norms or specialties may not be up to the mark like the Spaghetti which we had today. Their traditional entries however are definitely good and consistent in taste.
