Lecka Lecka @ e@Curve, Petaling Jaya

Located on the 2nd Floor of e@Curve, right opposite the Cathay Cineplex is a cafe known as Lecka Lecka. They are quite famous in Malaysia and they have a number of outlets across prominent malls in the country. Their specialty is their Gelato whereby they offer an array of close to 150 different flavours which is freshly made daily and is 95% fat free. Most of you would have surely tried their Gelato but not many would have tried their pastries. In fact, most people would have not even known that Lecka Lecka offers a number of unique freshly made pastries and this is what this entry is about.

Seating Spaces
Their set up is quite simple and they do not have a dedicated space as they share a common space with a few other outlets on the second floor. What I like most about their seating area is that it is aligned along the glass walls and you get to enjoy a very nice view of the walkway to the Curve. This outlet is manned by two employees, both foreigners and they are very hardworking and attentive to customers. In fact, the moment I stepped up to peek what they had in their glass shelves, the waiter came up to me and was very helpful in answering what they had to offer.

Their Menu
Besides their Gelato, they had a few unique Pie's and Pastries that is not commonly available. They are their Beef Rendang Pie, Chicken Masala Pastry, Lamb Masala Pastry and Chicken Mushroom Pie. Being a Lamb lover, I ordered their Lamb Masala Pastry and a Cappuccino. Do note that if you have a valid Cathay Cineplex movie ticket, you are entitled to a 15% discount. Just show it to the waiter and he would deduct it from the bill. Ordering here was also quite simple and you only need to pay once the food is sent over to your table.

Cappuccino @ RM 6.90
I must confess that I was impressed with their Cappuccino. Although they had state of the art coffee machines, I did not expect the waiter to be able to fix a perfect cup but he did just that. Definitely a very well made Cappuccino. I would rate this at 9/10 .

A Closer Look at the Ingredients
The Lamb Masala Pastry was very good. The crust was really soft and delicate and the fillings were just superb. The fillings were basically minced Lamb along with some potato's and it was made to a slightly spicy level. The fillings were also not scanty and not at all oily. Although this pastry looks rather small, this single pastry was good enough to fill me up till night and it was equivalent to a full meal. Definitely good stuff and I would rate this at 9.5/10 .

I would strongly recommend to try their pastries and pies as these are not commonly available items and above all, they were just delicious. It would definitely make a good quick meal before catching a movie at Cathay Cineplex. And not to forget their good Coffee's too.
